Some activities conducted by Moirang Kendra Progressive Front during the COVID-19 pandemic in Moirang Kendra and some areas of Bishnupur District (District Administration).
Distribution of 2000 bottles of 500ml packaged of drinking water for use by the inmates of the Community Quarantine Centres.
To fight Covid-19, the General Secretary of Progressive Front, Moirang, Mr Mairembam Uttam Kumar handed over a vehicle, Tata Winger to Mrs Neeta Arambam, DC Bishnupur to transfer the returnees to the Quarantine Centres under the initiative of social worker Shri Thongam Shanti Singh. SDO Moirang and other members of the Progressive Front were also present at the handing-over program. The members said that they would be helping continuously in the fight against COVID-19.
Starting from the beginning of the Lockdown, Moirang Kendra Progressive Front have conducted various activities for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic at all Moirang A/C and neighbouring places.
Moirang Kendra Progressive Front in collaboration with Self Help Groups made 20,000 local face masks and distributed it to the people of the community.
Free masks and hand sanitizers distribution to frontline workers including the police force, doctors, nurses and Sanitary workers.
Spraying of Sodium Hypochlorite solution along with Manipur Fire Service and Police all villages and public gathering places in Moirang Kendra.
Publicity for public awareness about COVID-19 and to follow the rules of WHO and ICMR.
2 buses were arranged to bring back stranded residents of the Kendra from Guwahati to Imphal free of fare.
Handed over 2000 bottles of packaged drinking water to the SDO, Moirang for use by the returnees at the Quarantine Centres.
Handed over one Tata Winger vehicle to the Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur to transfer returnees to their respective Quarantine Centres.

Members taking disinfection work at the locality.
The Moirang Kendra Progressive Front volunteers will work continuously and extend its support to the District Administration in the fight against COVID-19.
