Public Awareness Campaign Along The National Highways By Joint Committee On Covid-19

From 29 May to 5 June 2020, the Joint Committee on COVID-19 constituted by the Govt. of Manipur has successfully accomplished the Phase-I of the COVID-19 Public Awareness campaign to the villages located alongside the National Highways No. 2 and 37. It is our pleasure to report that the villagers and local youth of almost all the villages along both the highways gave us an overwhelmingly positive response and expressed their support to cooperate in making the highway safe and secure during this hour of COVID-19 pandemic and in the future as well.

However, during the interaction sessions with the local leaders and our visit to various Quarantine Centres, both Institutional and Community Quarantine Centres, we came across some of the genuine basic inconveniences and grievances faced by the locals, volunteers and staff who are working in various activities related with COVID-19 pandemic.

The Joint Committee on Covid-19 laid down the list of inconveniences and grievances recorded during our interaction which the villagers had reported to us.
The following list of feedbacks and grievances were shortlisted by the committee on priority and urgent need basis understanding the pressure the govt. is facing in fighting the pandemic with the limited resources we have at this point in time.
