Serving Home Cooked Food by Meiyon Society - Jiribam

Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, Jiribam is playing an important role as it is in a crucial geographical location, the main entrance of the state returnees, bordering Assam and thousands of stranded Manipuri people across the country is arriving in Jiribam by railways and by national highway to be taken to their respective districts.

Since complete lockdown was enforced across the country, the state and Jiribam, Meiyon Society Jiribam has been taking active parts to contain the pandemic by supplying daily essential food items to the needy family of Jiribam and also providing lunch to the front line workers.
Serving food to Police personnel.
Meiyon Society Jiribam distributed lunch to more than 200 Police personal who are fighting in the frontline. The organization also visited the Superintendent of Police office and provided lunch to all the staff.
The Meiyon Society, Jiribam also visited the dumping side of Jiribam Municipal Council located in Cingdong Leikai and provided lunch to more than 40 sanitary workers who are helping Jiribam keep clean (Swatch Bharat.)
Serving lunch to District Hospital staff.
Meiyon Society Jiribam also visited 50 bedded Jiribam District Hospital and Chief Medical Officer's office and provided lunch to doctors, nurses and all other hospital staff.
Serving lunch to Sanitary workers.
The Meiyon Society, Jiribam has been providing lunch and other essential needs to all the front line workers who are fighting this pandemic.
